Amunet being their daughter or a protege would work just fine. Her being Aya just seems like it would be a pointless retcon made for the sake of a dramatic reveal and convenience.

It should be noted that Amunet's statue depicts her as a young woman at the time that she assassinated Cleopatra, whereas Aya would definitely be older at that point in time.
