It was pretty bad. I really wanted to like the movie but it was just really bad. It was dumb, the dialogue was nonsensical, the plotting incoherent, horrendous pacing issues and a unearned climax. It tries too many things with very little time given to each and at the same time wastes so much of the viewers' time. What it attempts to pass off as "world building" just comes across as cynical advertisement for future projects in a way reminiscent of Amazing Spider-Man 2 and every time the script calls for the characters to sound deep it actually sounds like pretentious poppycock.
Ben Affleck was wasted on this movie as was Gal Gadot. Jesse Eisenburg was annoying and not compelling at all and Henry Cavil is somehow even more boring than in Man of Steel. The characters of Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent were assassinated throughout this two hours thirty three minutes borefest that completely misses the heart and soul of the characters; which, to be fair, is par for the course after Man of Steel. By god, I hope Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman are good.
