Blade of Yumminess

The Blade of Yumminess was a legendary ōdachi. During the Peloponnesian War, the misthios Kassandra acquired the sword after purchasing it from a Greek blacksmith during the 5th century BCE.[1] She later returned it to Sengoku-era Japan and locked it behind a cave marked with Isu script.[2]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The item's name is a reference to YouTube's auto-generated captions for Assassin's Creed: Odyssey's conference presentation at E3 2018, which mistranscribed Herodotos' line of "You carry the blade of yumminess. Act like it",[3] while the the official trailer's auto-captions rendered the line as "You carry the blade of Yominas".[4]

The sword reuses the model for the Ippei Blade, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
