Berkelow Bog

The Berkelow Bog was a wetland in East Anglia which contained a former Roman settlement. Long abandoned by the 9th century, the site was occupied by Cordelia, one of the Daughters of Lerion, who used to the area to perform her occult practices.

In the 870s, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir explored the ruins and the surrounding area. After coming into contact with Cordelia, Eivor fought through her illusions and defeated her in battle, recovering a dagger from her body.[1]
