The Battleground of Messenia

The Battleground of Messenia was a battlefield between Athenians and Spartans during the Battle of Pylos. It was located on an island west of the Bay of Hades in Pylos, Messenia, Greece.

History[edit | edit source]

In 425 BCE, the Spartan misthios Kassandra joined Sparta's forces and met Labotas at the Spartan war camp. Joining the fight, she fought alongside Brasidas' forces against the Athenians, who were supported by Deimos, the Cult of Kosmos' enforcer and her brother. After he fell Brasidas, Kassandra and Deimos fought each other but to a stalemate. Before they could continue their fight, a burning tree fell on top of Alexios. Deciding on whether to help Deimos, Kassandra was soon pinned down and knocked unconscious by another fallen tree.[1]
