The Battle Spear

The Battle Spear was a spear made and used in the 5th century BCE Greece. Especially suited for combat, the spear's sharp tip made sure it could easily sink into its victim, and the barbs that it would deal damage even when leaving the body.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra commonly found this weapon in the inventories of blacksmiths and looted it from bodies and chests during her travels throughout Greece.[1]
