The Athenian Linothorax

The Athenian Linothorax is a type of linothorax armor commonly worn by Athenians soldiers in ancient Greece.

The armor's light design sacrificed protection for speed, allowing the Athenians to maneuver easily in battle. During the Peloponnesian War, the armor was a common sight in both battlefields as well as in the inventories of blacksmiths, as the Athenian army clashed with the Spartan forces.[1]
