The following text is a continuous log of Subject 12's apprenticeship. It exists for staff eyes only. Any outside interference will result in an immediate ban from the wiki.
I allow Subject 12 to choose his own assignments, to ensure that he only does what he feels capable of, and so far, this system is working. I constantly review all of his work, no matter how minor, and I make sure that he is always looking for more work, even though I do not pick it for him. So it won't be often that a "Current Assignment" is listed (unless I find something specific that needs immediate attention) , but they will always appear in the "Previous Assignments" section. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 09:35, April 28, 2011 (UTC)
After Subject 12 asked me several questions regarding Sibrand's article, and I noticed that it needed a revamp, I decided that he should be the one to do it. I hope this one will be a little more challenging for him. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 13:22, April 29, 2011 (UTC)
He is working through his current assignment at a good pace, and is almost completed. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 02:16, May 8, 2011 (UTC)
12 has got all of the memory articles to work through, this should keep him occupied for a while, as it will be long and time consuming, thus testing his ability to adapt to what could be an "annoying" assignment. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 13:18, July 4, 2011 (UTC)
Basically the same as the previous assignment, but with a different WikiProject. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 11:13, July 23, 2011 (UTC)
Well, the Quest for Vengeance just needs to be done. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigThe Swamp 09:26, September 2, 2011 (UTC)
Despite only being Mentored for a short amount of time, his work exceeded my expectations, and was quite thorough. It was also clear that he had put a good level of effort into it, as he'd reworked parts of the entire article. He also reviewed his work a few times, ensuring he'd not missed anything. So it was an all-round good start to his Apprenticeship. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair
I must agree with Blaidd here. 12 shows a huge amount of potential in the early stages of his 'ship. His work thus far has been considerate and well constructed. I look forward to seeing what else he is capable of. I admit that I am impressed! --The Green LionThe Pub 08:40, April 22, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, what they said. However I must add that his general activeness over here and the IRC is very good also, almost every time I visit the IRC or check the wiki's activity, Subject 12 won't be so far away. That's some good potential there. (This is all before his absence-leave, of course.) --THIEF 09:32, April 25, 2011 (UTC)
After returning from his absence, we'd only had a few minutes to talk, so no teachings had been done, nor a refresher of the past. However, he still decided to attempt a revamp on the page "72", before we could even do a quick run through of things, and without any of my guidance during the revamp, he was able to do it rather successfully. Sometime after he finished, I went through it and fixed a few minor mistakes, or things that he had missed, but about 80% of the revamp was done by him. I actually wasn't sure if he was ready for a proper revamp, or if he was completely certain about how to do one, yet his work proved otherwise. I now believe he is starting to get the idea, and will soon be able to move onto bigger, and more challenging revamps. As well as this, I've rewarded his efforts with a rise in the Apprentice rank, to level 2: Servitore. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 09:35, April 28, 2011 (UTC)
Once again, he exceeded my expectations, I really had no idea he was ready for a revamp like he did on the "Crossbow" page. He made one mistake, and forgot to put the rest of the game title, and a few other slight things that Thief and Cello quickly fixed. So, yeah, I don't think I need to continue on what I've already said before. He's making excellent progress, and is a faster learner than I thought. Also, because of the revamp, and the productive lesson we had earlier on the IRC, I have given him another rise in the ranks, to level 3: Assistente. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 12:52, April 29, 2011 (UTC)
As usual, quality work, only missed a few minor things that will come with time and experience. This, along with our IRC lessons, has earned him another rise in rank, to level 4: Milite. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 04:42, May 5, 2011 (UTC)
He did what was needed to remove the three tags, that's all that was required. Good work as usual. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 11:50, May 9, 2011 (UTC)
Quite possibly his best work yet, it was done really well. He also improved on a few specific things he was lacking, and proved that he's understood everything I've talked about over the IRC in our lessons. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 00:51, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
Good rewording and all that other editing stuff :P. This, as well as me figuring out the new ratio for the advanced number of ranks until the completion of an Apprenticeship, has earned him Rank 5: Discepolo. Nice work. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 14:12, June 3, 2011 (UTC)
All-round excellent job with the expanding and rewording. Nice work. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 07:33, June 20, 2011 (UTC)
Brilliant work with Memories, got through a long and tedious assignment in good time. And has not only earned a promotion to Rank 8: Sentinela, but also the Chief Editor position in the Memory Project. Congratulations! -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 11:13, July 23, 2011 (UTC)
It's a big Project. Very big Project. It's a big Project we're in. It's a big Project. My God it's big! Can't believe how big it is! It's a big Project! For Assassin's Creed Wiki! It's just so freaking HUGE! It's a big Project! Expensive Project! This Project better promote some T-em-plar articles! Another promotion for you if you know the reference... NO GOOGLING! Remember that I know all and see all. Right now though, you've earned Rank 11: Operativo. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigThe Swamp 05:56, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
Strueth... big page. Okay I was able to review 12's work and it looked all good, no issues there. Vastly improved the quality of the article. I still need to read the entire page itself to see whether or not the Revamp template should be removed, but I'll get to that eventually. Looking at your work I feel confident that it would be, and may even be able to make GA or FA.
What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an oyster with the 13th Rank to that thing you love. Look again, the 13th Rank is now the 14th. Anything is possible when your Master smells like Old Spice and not a lady. I’m on a horse. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigEnter... THE SCARY DOOR 07:18, October 27, 2011 (UTC)
Old lady?? XD --Vatsa (talk • Gentek) 07:22, October 27, 2011 (UTC)
One last revamp before finishing, well congratulations. Very thorough and as always vastly improved the articles quality. -- 'R BlaiddDdraigEnter... THE SCARY DOOR 06:57, November 7, 2011 (UTC)

'R BlaiddDdraig:When you first joined here, what was the hardest aspect for you to grasp, what mistakes did you make?
Subject 12:Well, it was hard for me to add to articles. I felt all my work was small, and insignificant. I looked up to the Higher ups, which I still do now, but now I have realized that there is no small work in this Wiki, it’s all important. I also had linking troubles, and not to mention positioning pictures. I had a lot of trouble adding to articles, and I was also afraid that my work would be deleted, so I didn’t write big paragraphs.
'R BlaiddDdraig:Excluding yours (above answer), what do you think is the most difficult thing for new editors to get the hang of here, whether it be a editing skill, policy/rules, or just the way things are done here?
Subject 12:Well, I guess they have trouble putting information in the proper place. They don't know where a certain bit of information should go, whether in the Trivia section or the main part of the article or in the beginning. The policy/rules are not that tough to follow, I mean they are the same as any community; play nice and contribute to it.
'R BlaiddDdraig:If you came across a page titled “AC is awesome”, and notice that it was created by a user, what would you do?
Subject 12:Well, I would of course tag it to be deleted, but in the Summary I would encourage the User to put it on his/her talk page or blog. If someone wrote AC is awesome, I don’t think it is vandalism, just a mistake.
'R BlaiddDdraig:What would you say is your specialty, e.g: revamps, templates, images, information, ect?
Subject 12:Hmm, mostly information, if there is something missing, I won’t hesitate to add it. Revamps I can do as well, but not very big ones. Templates are okay as well, I can add quotes, eras, infoboxes with ease. Pictures are not my strong suit. I still have trouble positioning them to where I want.
'R BlaiddDdraig:Are you aware of the Manual of Style, such as when to use bolding and italics, how to correctly write a header, and what tense or formatting to write an article in?
Subject 12:Yes. Bolding should be done for the articles name and various names. The tense should be non POV, I think. Italics should be used when directly quoting a person. Manual of Style goes about the opening paragraph, followed by Biography, Legacy, Characteristics and Personality, Trivia, and then Sources and References. Heading three for main sections and heading four for sub sections, I think.
'R BlaiddDdraig:Do you fully understand the meaning of the words "Revamp" and "Stub", so you know what pages do and don’t need the templates?
Subject 12:Yes. Revamp means that the article has most if not all the necessary information, but the format of the page needs to be worked out and presented in a better manner. Stub pages refer to pages which do not have all the complete information regarding that page. A stub template can also be used for pages that are small but might be expanded on in the future games.
'R BlaiddDdraig:Is there any particular edit you’ve made that you are especially proud of, and would like us to analyze as an example of your best work?
Subject 12:Hmm, well I am quite proud of the Liberation of Rome page. You see, when I saw it and all its little parts, I was thinking about a history book. One article to broadly explain it and then other articles that explain the different sections in detail. I also like the work I did on the Virtual Training page, but that’s not much.
'R BlaiddDdraig:If you were granted the same rights as Staff, how would you use them?
Subject 12:Hmm, well then, I would like to discuss more things with the Staff then, just to get a better insight to the workings of the Wiki. I would definitely like to warn people, but I would first give them a chance to prove that they just made an honest mistake. I wouldn’t mind banning people because I absolutely hate people who mess up the Wiki and abuse others.
'R BlaiddDdraig:Referring to the aforementioned new User having trouble with a certain aspect of the Wiki; how would you help them overcome this problem?
Subject 12:Well, I would help them in the positioning of information; maybe give them a well written article as an example. I would also guide them in using the templates, as sometimes the information they wish to contribute could be better utilized within a template. I would also advise them to make sure their grammar is proper and that they don’t add speculation to any article.
'R BlaiddDdraig:The User who created the "AC is awesome" page, has left you a message asking why you tagged it for deletion, how would you respond?
Subject 12:I would respond as follows: "Dear user. Indeed, I agree that AC is awesome, but this Wiki is a place where information about the AC universe is stored, at least that’s what pages are for. Saying AC is awesome is not information, if you wish to discuss this with the other members of the Wiki, or publicize it yourself, I would recommend adding it to a blog or your User Page.
'R BlaiddDdraig:A person has left you an insulting message on your talk page for no apparent reason, how do you react?
Subject 12:Well I would first ask that person the reason for that message. Even if it is a good reason, I would reprimand them for using such insulting language. If the matter is still not resolved, I guess I would report it to a member of Staff.
'R BlaiddDdraig:You notice a feud between two Users that has gone unnoticed for quite some time, what would you do to resolve the conflict?
Subject 12:Hmm, I would first try to resolve the matter myself, trying to get both of them to calm down. If they don’t, I would remind them that the Wiki is not a place where you can just argue all day. If the matter is still not resolved, I would have to report it to a member of Staff.
'R BlaiddDdraig:You suspect a person of medal/badge abusing/hunting, what do you do?
Subject 12:I would ask them why they contributed such unnecessary things, you know, try to ask them without asking them. If they repent and say they're sorry, I would give them a warning and keep an eye on them, however if they claim they're not doing anything wrong, I would have to report them.
'R BlaiddDdraig:You have been accused of being rude and insulting to another person, upon review of your message, you find that you were in fact quite harsh. Yet you believe that what you said was justified, either because you or somebody else has had problems with them in the past, or you straight out think what you said was necessary. What do you do from here to prevent the problem from escalating?
Subject 12:I would apologize to that person and I would say I could have put it a little more gently, but I stand by my comment and would please ask that User take it into consideration.
'R BlaiddDdraig:What do the Templars and Assassins believe, what are their goals, and why are they striving for them?
Subject 12:Assassins believe that people should have free will, and that they should not be bound by others. They feel that if all men have free will, the human race will become better. Templars believe that they should control the people and guide them. They feel if they do not guide mankind, they will eventually fall into chaos.
'R BlaiddDdraig:In what year was Leonardo da Vinci officially inducted in the Assassin Order?
Subject 12:..Um 1498, I think.
'R BlaiddDdraig:That was a trick question, he was never inducted into the Assassin Order, he was only an ally of them.
'R BlaiddDdraig:Why exactly was Altaïr demoted to the rank of Novice, be as detailed as possible.
Subject 12:Altaïr was demoted to the rank of Novice, because he broke the Three Tenants of The Creed. 1: He killed the innocent old man at the temple. 2: He chose to attack Robert de Sable head on instead of being discreet. 3: He compromised the Brotherhood by leading the Templars back to Masyaf. Instead of killing him, which would be a waste, Al Mualim demoted him.
'R BlaiddDdraig:With that answer, you've also answered the next question, so we'll skip that one. Good job!
'R BlaiddDdraig:Name three interesting facts about the number 72.
Subject 12:Okay: the 72 names of God are contained in Exodus 19 through 21. If you take the letters for God in Hebrew and arrange them in an equilateral triangle, their numerical values equal 72. Also, the construction of the Colosseum began in the year 72.
'R BlaiddDdraig:Explain the meaning behind one of Subject 16’s messages written in blood in "Assassin’s Creed".
Subject 12:Umm, there was a barcode that had the code 122112, which is the date for the Abstergo satellite launch.
'R BlaiddDdraig:Do you have any questions concerning the Wiki, its Staff, or their roles and responsibilities; or any final comments you would like us to take into consideration before we conclude this interview?
Subject 12:Nope, any questions concerning the Wiki I have asked you already. Thank you very much for this opportunity ‘R BlaiddDdraig.
I've received word that he should be returning on Wednesday (27/4). -- 'R BlaiddDdraigWolfDragon’s Lair 00:46, April 24, 2011 (UTC)
