Arnolfo di Cambio (c. 1240 – 1300 or 1310) was an Italian architect and sculptor from Tuscany.
Biography[edit | edit source]
In 1296, Arnolfo designed the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, although work on the building would take over a century.[1] In 1299, he began construction on the Palazzo della Signoria, incorporating the tower of the previous structure into its facade.[2][3]
