Arne

Arne was a pet turkey that accompanied a Norse woman during her journey in Vinland.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Flight Training[edit | edit source]

In the 870s, Arne and his flock were being trained by their owner to fly, albeit against their nature. Unfortunately, Arne was the only turkey left alive after the owner's intensive training. In his latest training session, Arne flew down a cliff but could not fly back up to his owner. Walking by Arne, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir noticed a woman crying as she told her current predicament to Eivor. While Eivor was searching, Arne was found safe and sound at bottom of the cliff, but could not fly. Arne's fate was put into Eivor's hands, as the Viking did her best to guide Arne back to his owner. Afterwards, Arne's owner thanked Eivor for her efforts as she left to find her group.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Depending on the player's choice, Arne could have been escorted up to his owner, which led to the owner gifting turkey meat to Eivor. However, Arne could have been killed by Eivor, instead. Nevertheless, the owner went back to her group either way.
