The Agora was the central marketplace of Kydonia, Messara, in the 5th century BCE.

History

During the Peloponnesian War, the city became the hotspot of inflamed relations between the local military and the merchants. A textile merchant asked the Spartan misthios Kassandra to help with the matter, and the agora was one of the locations he pointed her to.

In the agora, Kassandra witnessed a crowd attacking a woman and her child, and proceeded to intervene.
