Tros was an Elean actor who was meant to play the part of Ephialtes in Thespis' play in the 5th century BCE.

Tros was a man who, according to Thespis, was "dedicated to his art." However, before Thespis' play could be performed, Tros met and joined the cult of Hedone. Tasked to find Thespis' missing actors, the Spartan misthios Kassandra followed Thespis' suggestion of looking for the man at the Spring of Piera and the ruins there.[1][2]

Unable to tell who among the hedonists was actually Tros, as they insisted on revealing nothing of their past selves, Kassandra was forced to make a decision on who to ask to join the production, unaware if she'd ever truly found Tros or not.[2] Regardless, Thespis' play ended up having its Ephialtes after all.[3]
