The Statue of Poseidon was a gigantic marble statue of the Greek god Poseidon on the Island of Triton, counted as part of Samos.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the statue at the request of the Athenian sculptor Phidias to find a symbol.[1] At the same time, she recovered a trident from chest allegedly belonging to the god of the sea.[2]

Sometime thereafter, Kassandra returned to the island where she met a projection of the Isu Aletheia. Kassandra was appointed by the her as the Keeper of the Staff of Hermes Trismegistus and was tasked to look for Theras, a friend of the late Phidias.[3]
