Scroll of Thoth

The Scroll of Thoth was a piece of papyrus hidden under the Pyramid of Amenmesse that poetically recounted the legend of the Shards of a Star. In 38 BCE, the Nabatean rebels' leader Gamilat found the scroll while exploring the pyramid. Disappointed it was not the treasure itself,[1] he gave it to the Egyptian Hidden One Bayek, who solved its riddle and recovered its reward, the Blades of Thoth.[2]
Contents[edit | edit source]
Nut, the goddess of night, spat and a
Ball of flame crashed to the earth.
Sky-metal, stronger than strong,
Fashioned into two bright daggers,
By Ptah, god of the forges.
Ptah asked Ra, "Where shall I hide them?"
"Light will show you the way'" said Ra.
And Ra gave him a container for light,
The Crystal of Thoth.
He took the crystal to Thoth's Temple
And encased it whithin the roots
Of the Tree of Life
Born at his Temple
That none unworthy shall find it.
