The Cauldron was one of seven legendary ships encountered by the Assassin-turned-Templar Shay Cormac in the North Atlantic, during the Seven Years' War. She was captained by William Crest.
The Cauldron and her sister ship, the Pilgrim, were two of the few pirate vessels still active in the Atlantic after the end of the Golden Age of Piracy. Both vessels were ultimately defeated by the Royal Navy and Shay's ship, the Morrigan, during a naval clash.[1]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The Pilgrim and the Cauldron re-use the same models and attack patterns as HMS Fearless and the Royal Sovereign from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, with some modifications such as the different color scheme.
- The Cauldron, along with the Pilgrim, is one of the few ships to have a defensive weapon on the stern: the burning oil.
- The Cauldron is the only legendary ship in Assassin's Creed: Rogue that uses mortars as a long-range attack, much like La Dama Negra from Black Flag.
