Alexandre Robert

Alexandre Robert is a Senior Environment Artist at Motive Studio, who previously worked as level artist at Ubisoft Montreal. He was a part of the development team for Assassin's Creed: Origins and Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Early life and career[edit | edit source]

He graduated from School NAD-UQAC in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in 3D Animation and Digital Design and was later employed at Behaviour Interactive and his first video game credit is as a 3D Artist on Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.[1]

Assassin's Creed[edit | edit source]

During the development of Assassin's Creed: Origins, Alexandre Robert contributed various renders of rocks based on textures supplied by Sebastien Rousseau.[2] He was also responsible for many of the quarry and cave assets, he also did level art for two areas of the Nile Delta biome. Rousseau again supplied the textures and Robert was assisted in the rock modelling by Guillaume Croteau and Alexis Dumas.[3]

Robert was part of the Biomes Team on Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. He created all the mountains and rocky materials present through the game, additional rock modelling was supplied by Samir Ahmed Yahia.[4] He, with additional textures by Alfredo Cristinziano and Pierre-Alexandre Côté, also created various materials for the world; Norway,[5] Forests,[6] and England.[7] Valhalla was the last Assassin's Creed game Robert worked on before leaving for Motive Studio.[1]
