Sinking a Secret
Sinking a Secret was a virtual representation of one of Ratonhnhaké:ton's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.[1]

At some point, Connor was faced with a secret that would jeopardize the funding of the revolution. With this in mind, he was tasked to destroy the cargo of HMS Dartmoor, which had set sail for Boston.
Outcome[edit | edit source]
The Dartmoor and its fleet were destroyed. Connor obtained the Pirate Flintlock.
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
"Sinking a Secret" is an additional naval mission in Assassin's Creed III that was originally a pre-order bonus from certain retailers. It was subsequently released as part of the Hidden Secrets DLC pack. As a pre-order bonus and an item in Hidden Secrets, the mission was advertised under the name "A Dangerous Secret", but the mission is called "Sinking a Secret" within the game. Despite its two names and the mission's description, nothing is ever revealed about what "secrets" Dartmoor actually carries.
