Nefru
Nefru was the neighbour and best friend of Herit. She lived in Siwa, Egypt in the mid first century.[1]
Biography[edit | edit source]
When a young Aya came to live in Siwa with Herit, Nefru would dote on the girl and, into Aya's adolescence, they would grow close. Years later, as Herit's health deteriorated, Nefru had her moved into her house where she could keep an eye on her friend's condition, filling the place with burners that the physician assured her would drive out what ailed Herit.[1]
Once Aya returned from her adventures with Bayek, having left him training with his father Sabu, she met with Nefru, who had updated her on her aunt's condition and inquired about what had happened, glad to see the young woman returned.[1] The next day, Nefru went for supplies while Herit and Aya talked, taking also the time to gossip about Aya's return.[2] Nefru's love of gossip also led her to relay information to Bion, not knowing that he was a killer after Bayek and his family.[3]
Nefru guessed Aya's pregnancy before anyone else, due to the latter's dizziness as well as her reaction to the smell of the physician's herbs, and was endlessly pleased at that.[4]
