Trail of Eshima

The Trail of Eshima was a path to an abandoned village located in the Eshima Coast in Awaji, Japan.
History[edit | edit source]
In 1585, the Kakushiba ikki member and Igan shinobi Fujibayashi Naoe sought out the remaining operatives of the Sanzoku Ippa,[1] after the demise of the Japanese Templar Kimura Yukari at Iwaya Castle.[2] She and fellow Kakushiba ikki member Yasuke agreed to help Konatsu track down these agents and thus Naoe followed evidence of three of Nowaki's remaining shinobi on the trail.[1]
While on the trail, Naoe came across an abandoned village and discovered Nowaki's shinobi Nitta Koheiji, Ishida Shota, and Inoue Yonekichi settled at one of the rundown residences. She then confronted and assassinated the trio, acquiring a note about both two fellow shinobi near Kannoji Temple and a "double agent" in Kamaguchi Village and a spare bō The Knocker, a spare bow Night's Embrace, and a spare katana Finality's End, respectively.[1] Naoe later ventured north of the trail, followed directions from a note from Nowaki, and recovered both the personal kusarigama Ophidian Feeder of Nowaki's late sister Suma.[3]
