The Phantom Fist was a kanabō‏‎ that Yasuke obtained in 1582. That year, Yasuke sought other warriors trained by his teacher, Kamiizumi Nobutsuna, in order to learn more about combat. He located Hozoin In'ei, a master of the kanabō‏‎, at Choanji Yakushido and challenged him to a duel. Hozoin eventually lost, gifting Yasuke the heavy weapon before they parted ways.
