The Seafarer's Chains was a kusarigama that Fujibayashi Naoe obtained in 1582. That year, Naoe and fellow Kakushiba ikki member Yasuke saw a post in Tsuruga requesting aid in taking down a league of pirates terrorizing the population of Wakasa. Following a clue to the location of one of these pirates, Sen, to Yura, they found a chest Sen had thrown in the water, retrieving the kusarigama from it.[1]
