Beatrice
Beatrice was a member of the Italian Brotherhood of Assassins who operated in Rome during the Renaissance.[1]
Biography[edit | edit source]
Early life[edit | edit source]
Beatrice was born in the heart of Rome into a family of artisans. Her father was a blacksmith, and her mother a seamstress. From a young age, she demonstrated an exceptional aptitude for mechanics and a sharp eye for detail. Her life took a drastic turn when her family was accused of heresy and imprisoned by the Templars, who were manipulating the Church for their own gain.[2]
Joining the Assassins[edit | edit source]
Rescued by the Brotherhood, Beatrice was taken under the wing of Clara, a seasoned and highly respected Assassin. Under Clara's guidance, Beatrice trained rigorously, mastering the arts of stealth and combat. She also became highly skilled in crafting Hidden Blades and other Assassin tools. Her motivation extended beyond the Creed—she was driven by a fierce determination to free her family and bring the corrupt Templars to justice.[2]
One fateful night, after tireless searching, Beatrice discovered the location where her family was being held. Armed with her secret blade and thoroughly prepared by Clara, she infiltrated the Templar prison. However, upon reaching the cell, she found it empty. Under pressure, a guard confessed that her family had been transferred to an undisclosed location and were scheduled to be executed within days for high treason.[2]
The devastating news broke her spirit. Clara later found her in tears on the rooftops of Rome, consumed by grief and hopelessness. Offering sincere comfort, Clara shared her own pain and reminded Beatrice that the battle for justice was long and filled with hardship. That emotional turning point became the catalyst for Beatrice’s unshakable resolve. She could no longer save her family—but she realized she could save others. Her mission grew beyond personal vengeance, and she rejoined the Brotherhood with renewed purpose and unwavering commitment.[2]
Personality and traits[edit | edit source]
Beatrice developed a diverse array of tactics, ranging from seduction to calculated provocation, earning her the nickname "The Fox". She was clever, daring, and relentless in her pursuit of justice. Though she carried the pain of her past, she channeled it into strength and became a vital force within the Brotherhood. Her strategic thinking and emotional depth made her a formidable Assassin and a symbol of resilience to those who followed in her footsteps.[2]
