Assault (Shalim and Shahar)
Assault was a visual representation of one of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.
Description
Altaïr infiltrated the Saint Hilarion Castle in order to assassinate Shalim.
Dialogue
As Altaïr made his way through the castle, the disguised Maria met with Shahar.
- Shahar: Ah, I didn't expect to see you again. How can I help you, little fox?
- Maria: I'm not here to be flattered. I want answers.
- Shahar: Oh?
- Maria: Is it true what I've heard, that the Templars wish to use the Apple of Eden for ill? Not to enlighten the people, but to subdue them?
- Shahar: People are confused, Maria. They're lambs, begging to be led. And that's what we offer: simple lives, free of worry.
- Maria: But our Order was created to protect the people, not rob them of their liberty.
- Shahar: The Templars put no stock in liberty, Maria. We seek order, nothing more.
- Maria: Order? Or enslavement?
- Shahar: You can call it whatever you like, my dear.
Altaïr entered the chamber.
- Shahar: Assassin!
- Altaïr: Apologies, Shalim. I let myself in.
- Shahar: You're looking for Shalim, eh? I'm sure my brother would be happy to join us.
Shahar gestured towards a walkway above, where Altaïr saw his twin. As a pair of guards entered the room, Maria managed to kill them and arm herself, just as Shalim joined his brother.
- Altaïr: Two of them... and two of us.
Maria scoffed and left the room, leaving Altaïr to fight the brothers alone. After a brief battle he killed them both, and performed a Leap of Faith off the balcony to escape the castle.
Outcome
Altaïr eliminated Shalim and Shahar, and escaped the Saint Hilarion Castle.
