Assassin bureau

The Bureau is an Assassin-controled safehouse located in each of the three main cities featured in Assassin's Creed. It serves as safe haven for Assassins such as Altaïr before and after assassinations.
Characteristics
There is an Assassin's Bureau in all three cities. These places are basically a safehouse for Assassin Instructors in the field and the Assassins Order. The Assassin Bureau's leader provides you with useful hints on where to obtain your information. As soon as you acquire enough information the leader will provide you with what appears to be one of the primary flight feathers of a white eagle, which is yet another nod towards the resemblance that Altaïr shares with the birds. Once you have collected all the required information on an assassination target, and it is possible to do so before entering the Bureau, the leader of the Bureau within that city, provides you with that same feather which is used to claim an assassination by running the Feather through the blood of the target. As proof of the assassination, Altaïr must return to the Bureau and present it as proof of his deed. The Assassin's Bureau will be closed when your current social status is exposed, to prevent guards from discovering the Bureau and also to not have you violate the Creed (never bring attention onto the Assassins Order). The Assassin Bureau is a place where they also make swords, blades and other useful equipment, enabling Altair to restock on Throwing Knives. Just before assassinations the Bureau is used to prepare. The entrance of the Assassin's Bureau is located on the roof probably to reduce the chances of outsiders wandering in out of curiosity. After all information pertaining to high ranked city officials such as Majd Addin resides within the Bureau.
Building
The exterior of the building is that of a normal construction, although it doesn't have any obvious looking windows or doors. The entrance is located on the ceiling, that can be reached via a stair located on an entry alley.

Main Chamber
The entrance to the Bureau, the Main Chamber is a small living area comprised of two fountains and several pillows. This place is intended for an

Assassin to rest before and after assassinations, waiting for the moment to strike and then for the moment to leave the town after the dust has settled.
The walls are decorated with hanging carpets and the Assassins Crest, while the ground has plants, pillows, sofas and another carpet. The ceiling is grated, with a hole that serves as entry into the Bureau. When the city is on alert, the hole in the ceiling is closed with a grated panel as to not compromise the brotherhood and attract authorities to the Bureau.
Bureau Leader's Room
Similar to a store, the leader's chamber is adjacent to the Main Chamber. Behind a stand, the leader address those who come to speak with him, also studying and attending to the needs of the Assassins operations on that respective city.
Behind this there are also bookstalls and closets, where registry of the missions is kept. The books and scrolls the Leader has access are also located in this area.
Across the room, a raised walkway guards weapons and books, things that may help with the carrying of a mission.
All assassinations missions must begin at this room, since the leader is the one who provides the feather for a marked target.

Trivia
- Resistance Safehouses on Cyprus in Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines function in a similar way as Assassin's Bureaus, even being able to restock Altair's inventory of Throwing Knives.
