Assassin’s Creed: The Eye of Heaven was set to be the follow-on book from Assassin's Creed: The Invisible Imam, and was written by author Steven Barnes for Pocket Books. Publisher Marco Palmieri showed high interest in the book series before it was cancelled. The story was set to follow the first books main protagonist (Abdul Wahid), who continued his quest for vengeance, as well as introducing a new antagonist and a broader modern-day story arc.

Cancellation

Because Ubisoft cancelled the publishing of the first book due to editing issues and various other problems, the second book never developed beyond the storyboard stages.[1]
