This page lists all the nominations for Featured status. The Istruttori monitor this page and the voting process.

Featured is the highest level an article can achieve, and as such, it must meet certain requirements.

An article must…

  • …be well-written and detailed.
  • …be unbiased, non-point of view.
  • …be sourced with all available sources and appearances.
  • …follow the Manual of Style, Layout Guide, and all other policies on ACWiki.
  • …following the review process, be stable, i.e. it does not change significantly from day to day and is not the subject of ongoing edit wars. This does not apply to vandalism and protection or semi-protection as a result of vandalism.
  • …not be tagged with any sort of improvement tags (i.e. more sources, expand, etc).
  • …have a proper lead that gives a good summary of the topic and can be used for the front page featured box.
  • …have no more than 3 redlinks and none in the introduction, infobox, or any templates.
  • …have significant information from all sources and appearances, especially a biography for character articles.
  • …not have been previously featured on the Main Page. Otherwise, it can only be restored to featured status.
  • …be completely referenced for all available material and sources.
  • …have all quotes and images sourced.
  • …provide at least one quote on the article. A leading quote at the beginning of the article will be required only if there is quotable dialogue by or about the subject. Although quotes may be placed in the body of the article, a maximum of one quote is allowed at the beginning of each section.
  • …include a "personality and characteristics" section on all character articles.
  • …include a reasonable number of images of sufficient quality to illustrate the article, if said images are available.
  • …have a "behind the scenes" section when the info is available
  • …pass review by the Istruttorium review panel.

Failure to meet any one requirement results in cancelation or holding of vote process until requirements can be achieved. Articles in vote with 3 or more FA traits missing results in vote annulment.

How to nominate:

  1. First, nominate an article you find is worthy of featured status, putting it at the bottom of the list below; see criteria above. Note that a previously featured article cannot be featured on the Main Page again; however, it can be restored to featured status.
  2. Others will object to the nomination if they disagree that the article is good enough; they will then supply reasons for doing so, and ways to improve the article (errors, style, organization, images, notability, sources).
  3. Supporters adjust the article until the objectors (with reasonable objections) are satisfied.
  4. The article is placed on the featured article list and added to the front page queue.
  5. Also, if, at least a week after the article's nomination, that article has 3 Istruttore supports and no objections (or the objections have been stricken or overridden), it will be added to the queue, and will be officially known as a "featured article."

How to vote:

  1. Before doing anything, be sure to read the article completely, keeping a sharp eye out for mistakes.
  2. Afterwards, compare the article to the criteria listed above, and then either support or object the article's nomination.
  3. Please note that in order for your vote to count, you must have 50 mainspace edits.
    1. If you object, please supply concrete reasons for doing so, and how it can be improved. Please cite which rule your objection falls under, if possible. Failure to do so may result in your objection being considered invalid.
  4. As stated above, any objections will be looked upon by the nominator, supporters, and anyone willing to improve the article, and action will be taken to please the objectors. Do not strike other users' objections; it is up to the objector to review the changes and strike if they are satisfied.
  5. Once the article has five supporting Istruttori votes and no outstanding objections after at least a week, the article will be added to the queue and be officially known as a "featured article." Although articles do not need regular users' votes to pass, non-Inquisitors are encouraged to review articles and participate in the process.

Also remember to add {{NomF}} at the top of the article you are nominating.

Rise of the Brotherhood

First Timeline Article to be nominated for featured status. Sourced, intricately written, abundant on great images, and little to no errors. According to the Timeline Project hub, we aim to make these articles good enough to attain featured status. This is the closest as of the moment. --Jacques le BlancReception Area 12:13, January 26, 2011 (UTC)

Yay

  1. Obviously. --Jacques le BlancReception Area 12:13, January 26, 2011 (UTC)
  2. If I'm allowed to vote - I vote Yay. This page has been expertly executed, has great images and is a very informative read. Everything an article should be really. Sick-steeN 12:45, January 26, 2011 (UTC)
  3. I saw one red link, but other than that it's good. The image pattern is good for once (being random), and not in that stupid criss-cross pattern that most people dislike. ;) --THIEF 22:15, January 26, 2011 (UTC)
  4. Very thorough and informative. I'll adjust one or two words in a minute, but overall, the article's wording is very complete and appropriate, as are the images. No complaints here :) =GuardDog 23:59, January 26, 2011 (UTC)

Awesome, War! Btw, we need a header to indicate featured and good status =/ Also, I beleive some of the timeline articles of the first AC are good enough for featured. Keep up the good work, people! =) -- D. Cello 16:26, January 26, 2011 (UTC)
