The grappling hook was a tool used by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad in his search for the Chalice.
In 1190, Altaïr used this tool to traverse gaps and chasms, as well as pull enemy guards towards him, allowing him to strike the final blow.

Felicia Mareno (possibly misspelled) was a woman who lived during the Golden Age of Piracy and I'm sure she was just a fantastic person.
In 2013, her genetic memories were used as an Animi Avatar by the entertainment branch of the Templar company Abstergo Industries, to influence the general public via the Animus games console (possibly), under the title of the Puppeteer.

Blunderbuss AKA "Thunderpipe"
A muzzle-loading firearm with a short, large caliber barrel, which flares at the muzzle and is used with shot and other projectiles of relevant quantity and/or caliber.
Very effective at close range, it lacked accuracy for targets at a distance. The large bore, short barreled blunderbuss had a stunningly loud report and was often used by pirates for close-quarters boarding actions.
Hatchet Pistol AKA "To the Point"
Multi-purpose weapons posses the capability for effective application in two or more levels of conflict. Since flintlock style guns only had one shot available before reloading, a blade was a useful addition for boarding or other close combat.
The hatchet attachment on the pistol allowed a pirate to fire off a shot at close range and then move on to their next foe.
Boarding Axe AKA "Negotiator"
The boarding axe is a small to medium hand ax used in boarding operations. It was one of the most useful close range weapons of the Pirate.
The boarding axe was invaluable in the heat of battle. Grappling lines could be chopped loose, downed spars and lines cut away and, if boarding rather than being boarded, hatches and bulk heads could be smashed in. When used in hand to hand combat, it was a fearsome weapon.
Grappling Hook AKA "Conversation Starter"
A grappling hook is a device with multiple hooks (known as claws or flukes), attached to a rope; it is thrown, dropped, sunk, projected, or fastened directly by hand to where at least one hook may catch and hold. Generally, grappling hooks are used to temporarily secure one end of a rope. Historically, grappling hooks were used in naval warfare to catch ship rigging so that it could be boarded.
