- "If you are asked, say I sent the Apple away. Tell them I sent it to Cyprus, or Cipango, or that I dropped it into the sea. Tell them anything to keep men away from this place. This Apple must not be found, not until the time is right."
- ―Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, on the Apple.[src]
Apple of Eden #2 was a piece of technology created by the Isu, whose primary purpose was to control humankind. It has also been called the Templar Treasure by Al Mualim.

One of its most notable owners was the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, who possessed it for the majority of his life and used its capabilities and advanced knowledge to reform and improve the Assassin Order.
Names
Due to the Apple's storied history and propensity for changing hands, the artefact was known by a myriad of different names throughout its existence. The earliest names for the Apple recorded were: the Oracle's Relic, the Orb of Siwa, or the Light of Amun-Ra – names given to it by both the Order of the Ancients and the Hidden Ones during the Ptolemaic era.
The first reference to the Apple as a "Piece of Eden" came later, following its recovery from Solomon's Temple during the Third Crusade, when it was so named by Al Mualim. Centuries later, following the discovery of numerous more Pieces of Eden it was given the designation Piece of Eden 2, or "PE2" by Abstergo Industries.
Usage
Like many Apples of Eden, it was designed to create illusions and control people's minds. The Apple could presumably be used to look into possible future outcomes, using the theory of probability, as well as impart knowledge of formulas and practices surpassing those of its time, as evidenced in Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's Codex.
While utilizing the Apple's powers, Flavius showed a number of advanced abilities, ranging from conjuring up tangible-holograms of his Order of the Ancient members to attack Bayek, turn himself invisibly and generate a kinetic force which slowed down Bayek momentarily.
