Talk:Pirate Flintlock
Identical to Pirate Blunderbusses
According to IMFDb, the Pirate Flintlock of AC3 and the Pirate Blunderbusses of AC4 would actually be the same model of gun. Aside from the description, you can tell from the images that they're identical. However, while the pistols Edward Kenway carries in promotional media are certainly identical to the "Pirate Flintlocks", it's possible that IMFDb might be in error because based on the image from Pirate Blunderbusses, the model in AC4 is actually bulkier. - Actually, both the AC3 Pirate Flintlock and Royal Navy Sea Service Flintlock are based on French naval flintlock pistols officialy designated as Pistolet modèle 1786 with the only difference being the pirate version is depicted with the cleaning rod attached while the royal navy version lacks it. And the AC4 in game pirate blunderbusses appear to be inspired by naval blunderbuss pistols like this one. Nanomat (talk) 16:57, October 3, 2017 (UTC)
