Jot Soora

Is it me, or introduction of this guy and his ancestor right before release of Black Flag seems less than coincidental? Might he be the Abstergo guy we'll play as in the modern sections? --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 17:37, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

I had that idea until i found out he was a programmer at Abstergo Industries. The person we are playing in Black Flag is a research analysts working for Abstergo Entertainment.--ACsenior (talk) 18:01, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

Though I'm suspicious about the "you're playing as YOU"-claim (given that it was also used for the MP pre-Revelations), I can't see any reason why these new people wouldn't be as... removed from the games as Daniel and his ancestors. Maybe Jot Soora's story is a "meanwhile, elsewhere"? Something 'we' might learn about, or hear rumours of over the course of BF? Though now I'm just thinking about Miss Marino and Mr Neumann... Personally I think it'll be something along of "meanwhile, this guy had an ancestor we're gonna milk in Assassin's Creed: XVI". But I digress.--Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 18:09, July 21, 2013 (UTC)
It's generally considered a good idea to start laying the foundations for potential spin offs as early as possible. Sadelyrate (siniath) 18:12, July 21, 2013 (UTC)
I don't think Ubisoft actually said that we were canonically playing as ourselves in ACB and ACR multiplayer. But yes, Jot Soora is a programmer, not a research analyst. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 18:46, July 21, 2013 (UTC)
They never said we were playing as ourselves with ACB + ACR MP, but they were all first-person cutscenes, until they decided to throw Juhani into the mix, so who's to say they're not going to do the same after Black Flag? Slate Vesper (talk) 19:14, July 21, 2013 (UTC)
He could be an undercover assassin working as a programmer until his cover was blown.--ACsenior (talk) 20:04, July 21, 2013 (UTC)
This is the description of his story: "Assassin’s Creed: Brahman explores the nature of identity through several generations of Assassins, leading Jot Soora on a desperate hunt to uncover the mysteries of this past that might save the life of the one he loves in the present. Will his bloodline his destiny?" I am sure his bloodline his destiny. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 20:06, July 21, 2013 (UTC)
"Assassin's Creed: Brahman explores the nature of identity through several generations of Assassins." That could mean that the AC Brahman is a art of a series with several assassins. Arbaaz Mir(or only him) - Unknown - Unknown --> with Jot Soora in a "Desmond possison"(hopefully without killing him). "Leading Jot Sorra on a desperate hunt to uncover the mysteries of his past that may save the one he loves in the present." That hunt seem to have gotten him to Abstergo.--ACsenior (talk) 20:24, July 21, 2013 (UTC)
"He could be an undercover assassin working as a programmer until his cover was blown." Another Lucy?
Can't really see any reason why Soora couldn't be just a normal guy, doing normal programmer stuff until he gets (apparently forced) trip down the (DNA) memory lane. Though that bit about seeking salvation for a beloved... a TWCB artifact able to heal? A hostage situation? Interpretation's fun! ;) Sadelyrate (siniath) 13:39, July 22, 2013 (UTC)
