This is the discussion page for Hermeticists.
Here, you may discuss improving the article.

A 3rd Faction

So far we have two factions, the Templars (big on restriction of knowledge and thought to maintain and/or create order) and the Assassins (they desire the free flow of knowledge and unrestricted thought, although using questionable methods to do so). These Hermeticists might be a 3rd faction...with their plan to "transform mankind", let us just say they might be talking literally. Perhaps they were the ones who took Desmond Miles? That remains to be seen since this has yet to be released. Vae Infectus 22:20, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

Or perhaps they are like the followers of Romulus, and therfore not important in the grand scheme of things. Beirut 22:59, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

The Followers of Romulous were created by the Templars in control of the church. So they're not another faction. These guys are more like a group some unrealated rich guy put together. They were around for the short term, most likely.

Item Drops?

What items do these guys drop when looted? Specifically, do they drop Shrunken Heads? On the Shop Quest page it says there are only 2 Shrunken Heads in the game without the addition of the DLC, but nowhere does it say what these guys drop. This wiki is really vague on details like that. http://images.wikia.com/deadrising/images/3/36/P.png Jax-Kenobi http://images.wikia.com/deadrising/images/3/36/P.png 22:23, July 15, 2011 (UTC)

Ezio fought them before?

When did Ezio fight the Hermeticists before the Da Vinci Disappearance? I know they were after the Apple, so it must have been between the Bonfire of the Vanities and the Siege of Montergionni, but were they in the games/books before this? If not, is it likely we will see them again, in repressed memories like the Cristina ones? User:Eggy2504 12:12, 2 September, 2011

Yea, I never got that either, when Ezio says he's fought similar people before. Who's he talking about? : S 121.91.196.216 12:25, October 2, 2011 (UTC)
The Followers of Romulus, perhaps? Slate Vesper 15:59, October 2, 2011 (UTC)

All one group?

Are we assuming that they are all the same group and not different organizations that were influenced by the same school of thought? The latter seems more likely to me as it sounds like Plato's group went completely defunct due to the schism and his exile. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 11:54, May 1, 2020 (UTC)
