Animus

In Assassin's Creed (Titan Comics) Galina Voronina said Helix is a game while the Animus is the real deal. In Unity and Syndicate did they say anything like that with Helix and Animus. What I'm trying to say is that how different are the Animus and Helix are they more or less look and function the same.
