Talk:Consus
The mystery that is Consus...[edit source]
I don't know about everyone else but this guy is the most intriguing thing in the whole series for me at the moment. We know so little about him exept that he was on of Those Who Came Before, was known as the Erudite God and had a beard. And how does he appear to Giovanni? Is he really there, is he a hologram like Minerva or is he just in Giovanni's head? I was hoping the Encyclopaedia would reveal more but it hasn't. Fingers crossed for some reveals in AC3! If you're interested, here is some trivia: Consus was an ancient Roman god of agriculture. Not a very important god but he WAS part of the group of 12 gods that is referenced in Abstergo Files via a picture. Also, the ancient Romans were said to have built a temple to him underground near Circus Maximus. Which is exactly where the Pythagorean Vault was. Which is exactly where he possessed Giovanni. Interesting, no? -- Vaxis Dec 16 9:41 PM
Survived the Shroud's destruction[edit source]
Currently the article states "By 2015, Consus who had somehow survived the destruction of the Shroud[...]", but the quote at the top of the section is a dialogue between Consus and Stoddard, dated 1692.
Having not read the source material, I am reluctant to simply remove the information, but in my eyes this doesn't suggest that Consus survived past the destruction of the Shroud itself. Anybody? --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 08:50, December 11, 2015 (UTC)
- Haven't read the comic myself, but what you're saying makes sense. The Shroud that Consus inhabited was destroyed in late 2014, right? I don't think he survived that. Crook The Constantine District 09:16, December 11, 2015 (UTC)
- I think we will not fully understand the plot with Consus until the release of more issues of the Comics, because Consus was possessing Dorothy in 1692 to speak to Stoddard and through him to Charlotte who is relieving his memories in 2015. So many questions:
- How did he bonded with Dorothy ? Why her ? A descendant of Giovanni ? Why in Salem ? Something that Charlotte needs to understand or learn ? Why is he speaking with Charlotte in particular? Why him and not Jupiter or Minerva ? How does he know anything about the future or the present ? When the Capitoline created the "Eye" to look in the future, wasn't Consus already trapped into the Shroud ? How does he knows anything about Stoddard children if he do not "come" from the future ? Did he have precognition abilities if he is from the past and not from the future ? Who are the "Ones with Great knowledge" he ask Charlotte to find? What is her greater calling he mentions? - I'll remove the line for now, then. My current understanding is that Consus is, indeed, utilising a form of communication similar to Minerva's Eye, though how he knows of such technology, since he was already 'locked' into the Shroud by the time it was created, si beyond me. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 11:00, December 11, 2015 (UTC)

Jeanne d'Arc[edit source]
Where is the evidence that the Voices she hears are from Consus and not another member of the Isu? I propose that on top of the Sword and Heart, Jeanne was in contact with another Piece of Eden, not a Shroud however but a Ring. In chapter seven of Heresy when she talks about the Voices the narrative draws attention to a ring. Jeanne mentions the Voices coming from her right hand side which she attributes to the churches location at the time however the book takes the time to state that the ring is also worn on her right hand. The ring is later mentioned in chapter eighteen with Jeanne saying that she put it in the same satchel that she keeps the Heart. This accounts for why she doesn't hear the Voices after faking her death because it was given to Fleur. I know the powers of this Ring are different from the one in Connor's possession but not once is there an allusion to a Shroud. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 13:56, May 19, 2017 (UTC)
