Wei Fangjin (魏方進; died 756) was an official of the Tang dynasty who served as a Grand Censor during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong. He was a relative of Yang Guozhong and a member of Golden Turtles.
Biography
After the fall of Tongguan, Xuanzong of Tang left Chang'an from Yanqiumen in the early morning of June 13 756 with his concubine sisters, princes, grandsons, princesses, concubines, officals, generals.
After arriving at Mawei Station, Yang Guozhong secretly held a meeting of Golden Turtles. At the meeting, Yang Guozhong tried to shirk the responsibility. Wei Fangjin said that the soldiers who were unhappy in their hearts did not dare to blame the emperor and needed someone to vent. Afterwards, the Golden Turtles was attacked by a group of Hidden Ones led by Li E, and most of them, including Wei Fangjin, were shot to death by arrows.
