A Torch of Hypnos was a piece of Isu technology mainly used in and around military camps and outposts in Elysium.
These pillar-like structures featured an apple within their eye at the top. When shot, the Torch gives off a damaging burst of energy, resulting in the destruction of the torch and damage to all users around the area.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra encountered and destroyed numerous Torches of Hypnos during her travels in Elysium.[1]
Trivia
- The names of these torches reference Hypnos, Greek god of sleep.
- Destroying a Torch of Hypnos near an inert Kolossus damages them, but doesn't trigger their activation.
