Artazostre (died c. 422 BCE), also known as the Silence, was a member of the Order of Dominion who operated in Messenia, Greece during the Peloponnesian War.

Biography

Serving under Amorges, Artazostre served as the branch' cleaner, specializing in cleaning up the bodies of the civilians and soldiers killed in their war efforts in Messenia. She would use a cave cave in the region as her dumping spot to dispose of any evidence of their killings. In the meantime, she would also patrol the military camps in the region to ensure the soldiers' obedience to the Order.[1]

Around 422 BCE, news reached Artazostre and Amorges that a Persian captain under her had revealing too much of Persia's secrets which could possibly expose the Order's activities in Messenia. As such, Artazostre sent a letter to the captain warning him of the repercussions. Ultimately, she had the captain executed and dumped in the Keadas Cave.[1]

Later that year, the misthios Kassandra travelled to the camp to investigate, having received information of the Ancient's activities in the region. There, she recovered the letter from the captain's body, allowing her to deduce Artazostre whereabouts and eliminate her.[2]
