Theano was a follower and wife of Pythagoras and also the mother of his daughters Damo and Myia during the 6th century BCE.

During Pythagoras' sessions regarding the tetractys, and the celebration of Milo's wins in the Olympic Games, Theano was responsible for the preparation of meals.[1]
