The Temple of Zeus Chthonios was an ancient Greek temple in worship of Zeus, situated atop the hills of Kranioi in Kephallonia. Largely abandoned by the 5th century BCE, the ruins was later occupied by a group of wolves.
In 431 BCE, the ruins was visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra, who eliminated the wolves and claimed the valuables in the area.[1]
