Doctor Stéphanie-Anne Ruatta is a Canadian historian with a PhD in ancient languages and literature.[1] She was recruited to work for Ubisoft Quebéc, where she is now employed as a full-time historian,[2] by Benjamin Hall and Thierry Dansereau, who she met during the first scouting trip to Greece as part of the development for the 2018 game Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.[3]

On June 2024, as part of Assassin's Creed: Shadows's marketing cycle, Ruatta participated on an exclusive interview for IGN, alongside other members of the development team, such as game director Charles Benoit.[4]
