Spring of Peirene was a spring located east of the Temple of Aphrodite on the Akrokorinth in Korinth, Greece.
In Greek mythology, when the winged horse, Pegasus came to drink at the spring, he was captured by Bellerophon, the son of Korinth's King Glaukos. During the Peloponnesian War, the spring was visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra.[1]
