The Chinese Templars were the members of one of the autonomous factions comprising the Templar Order. During the reigns of the Zhengde Emperor and the Jiajing Emperor, this rite was controlled by the Eight Tigers, a powerful group of eunuch officials that controlled the Chinese imperial court.

History

After Zhengde was succeeded by the puppet Jiajing Emperor, the Templars manipulated him into initiating a purge of the Chinese Assassin Brotherhood. After Shao Jun returned to China to rebuild her Brotherhood, she began exacting revenge on the Tigers. In retaliation for her killing their top-raking comrades, the Tigers set the burning port of Macau ablaze.
