The Chinese Templars were the member of one of the autonomous factions comprising the Templar Order.

During the reigns of the Zhengde Emperor and the Jiajing Emperor, this rite was controlled by the Eight Tigers, eunuch officials that controlled the Chinese imperial court and used their influence on the Emperor to initiate the purge of the Chinese Assassins in 1524.
