San Danje
San Danje was a small settlement for escaped slaves located within the Louisiana Bayou. In 1766, the town was visited by the Assassin Aveline de Grandpré and her smuggler ally Élise Lafleur, who were tracking a man calling himself François Mackandal.
The two met with a houngan there, who provided Aveline with an antidote to protect her against the poisons used by Mackandal.
