Runa Egilsdottir was a Viking leader of a group of Norse warriors in 9th century Cent, England.

Biography

Not much is known about Runa Egilsdottir, however she found herself to be in charge of a collective of Norse warriors.[1]

Runa Egilsdottir was first seen captured alongside her soldiers, by the Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq and Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir, who came to free them. After dealing with the Saxon soldiers, Eivor and Basim freed the remaining soldiers and Runa. Eivor and Basim asked for her aid to invade Rouecistre Fortress, but Runa admitted that her small remaining clan would not be enough to overtake the fortress. Eivor asked Runa for her supply of armor and weapons, but Runa replied with a staunch opposition to using her fallen people's weapons. Basim added that their weapons and armor would be used against those who killed them, thus a reluctant Runa was convinced. Runa aided that she has a fleet but it remained halted by the Rouecistre Blockade. Eivor agreed to help as she told Basim to go to Oxenefordscire and have Geadric and his forces join them. Eivor also asked Runa to ride to Abbot Cynebert about her timely arrival after the assault on the fortress. With their duties stated, each person parted for their responsibility.[1]
