The River Rhine is a major river in Central and Western Europe.
In the late 9th century, the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir led raids along the river.
History
Roman era
During the Roman era, the river was known as the Renos.[1]

Eivor sailed to the monastery at Ferrières, killing the Frankish champion and claiming Ulfberht's Sword.[1] Following the death of the Frankish champion, the monastery hired a mercenary to act as a 'champion of the gods'.[3] Eivor would kill the mercenary at Ferrières, and claim Sir Gareth's Holy Sword.[4] Appearances
