Renard
Renard (unknown – 1792) was the leader of Les Actes des Apôtres, a royalist organization which supported the Monarchy during the French Revolution.
As the leader of Les Actes des Apôtres, Renard ordered different operations during the chaotic times of the French Revolution, such as book-burning sprees of rare manuscripts and books deemed favorable to the revolutionaries ideas or the harassement of former royalists, such as Rose Bertin, the Queen's dressmaker who had accepted to make costumes for theaters. In September 1792, the Apôtres also took part in the famous theft of the French Crown Jewels, steeling around 9000 gemstones and planning to sell some of it, such as the Sancy Diamond, to finance future operations.
Working with fellow Assassin Charlotte Gouze and her vast network of contacts, Arno Dorian tracked Renard and his followers after the theft, killing him and putting an end to the Apôtres' actions.
