Philippi was an ancient Greek city located in Makedonia.

In 42 BCE, the city was the site a battle fought by the armies of the Hidden Ones Marcus Junius Brutus and Gaius Cassius Longinus against the Marcus Antonius and Octavian after the assassination of Julius Caesar in 44 BCE. While Cassius was killed in the battle, Brutus fled and eventually committed suicide to escape capture.[1]

Following Brutus' death, his fellow Hidden Ones gathered in Philippi and attempted to resurrect him with the Shroud of Eden to no avail. Brutus only opened his eyes and moved without breathing, subsequently falling still in a seeming second death.[1][2]
