Odin Mine Hideout

Odin Mine Hideout was an abandoned mine that became a base for the Pict warriors in northern Snotinghamscire, England.

History

In 876, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan was escorted to Odin Mine Hideout by Sunniva, who told her that Vili ventured off to fight against the invading Picts. Going into the mine alone, Eivor investigated and found Vili fighting against the Picts. Together, Eivor and Vili fought their way out of the mine and defeated the Picts in their way. Quickly, both left the hideout and headed towards Odin's Hovel.[1] After some time, Eivor ventured the mine hideout solely and probed the base. Eivor soon found a chest atop a balcony, looted it, and acquired a tungsten ingot. Investigating the area further, Eivor found a breakable ice wall, destroyed it and found a Book of Knowledge, which taught Eivor the skill, Poisonous Powder Trap.[2]

In 883, jarlskona Eivor ventured once more towards the Odin Mine Hideout and found north of it one of the shrines Hildiran mentioned. Eivor went meditate at the shrine to challenge herself within Hugrheim.[3]
