Odin's Hovel

Odin's Hovel was a small dwelling in northern Snotinghamscire, England.

History

In 876, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan and her childhood friend, Vili Hemmingson, arrived at Odin's Hovel after fighting against the Pict warriors at Odin Mine Hideout. Together, Eivor and Vili started to reminisce about their childhood and talked about the future. Vili reaffirmed his desire to continue as a drengr rather than becoming the jarl of his clan. Eivor offered her advice as both spent the night, sleeping besides each other.^[1]

Behind the scenes

Odin's Hovel is one of many places in the shire named in honor of the All-Father, Odin.
