The Newgate Jail, also known as Newgate Prison, was a prison in London, England which operated from 1188 to 1902.[1]

History

In 1696, after the attempted theft of a necklace, Jack Oliver was arrested and placed into Newgate. There, he was visited by Isaac Newton and Omar Khaled.[2] Khaled interrogated Oliver, and learned he had been extorted into the deed, the necklace in exchange for his daughter's life.[3]
